Work Effects goes much farther than the typical 360 assessment. Most 360 assessments end after the initial reports have been provided with little or no accountability for taking action. In any 360 feedback process participants are expected to create an action plan, think and share their insights with their raters, and make a consistent effort towards improvement. We have learned through decades of experience that this, unfortunately, rarely happens and most of the energy is place on gathering and providing the results and not the follow through. To address this we created the Check-Up 360TM to provide a personalized method to help participants identify specific areas of action, measure their progress, and increase their long-term effectiveness. As soon as the Revolution 360TM has been administered, and action areas identified, the Check-Up 360 targets the 1-5 survey items that correspond to participant's personal development plan. Approximately six months after feedback occurs the Check-Up 360 asks the raters to reassess the participant on their effectiveness and improvement on the selected areas. Upon completion of the Check-Up 360 assessment, participants are provided a two-page summary of the progress results along with additional comments which were collected. In addition to participant selected items, the Check-Up 360 collects standard evaluation information regarding follow up, frequency of follow through, and improvement in overall leader effectiveness, thus providing a means to gauge organization-wide effectiveness of the entire initiative. The six-month Check-Up 360 process is simple and begins shortly after the original 360 has been completed: Step 1 (after Revolution 360 completed) Step 2 (4 weeks after feedback) Step 3 (4 months after feedback) Step 4 (5 months after feedback) Step 5 (5 months after feedback) Step 6 (6 months after feedback) Step 7 (6 months after feedback) TOTAL TIMELINE: 6 Months Management and the leader, now equipped with this new information, will see how they have improved in the targeted priority areas as well as see how the organization has improved during this process. A continuous process of semi-annual Check-Up 360s is recommended to continue the positive momentum that has emerged. Read our article on "What Comes After the 360 Assessment is Important".
